Living Dead Double EXP Weekend!

Resistance 2 Beta

The Resistance 2 multiplayer beta is in full swing, and kicking copious amounts of ass. If there's any PS3 owner out there who feels the sting of missing out on a chance to play one of the year's most anticipated releases a little early, worry not! Your old pal Bones just so happens to have an extra code up for grabs. First come, first serve, so either comment here, send a message over the PSN to Mister_Bones, or send an XBL message to Lil Bones.

Far Cry 2 Has Arrived!

This game has come across and slapped me in the face asking for a purchase. Well, Ubisoft now has 60 dollars of mine and from what I've seen in the map editor alone, it was money well spent. Hopefully the Black Majik crew can jump in on some of this Far Cry Friday action that is sweeping across our circle of friends. I hope each of you at least give this a rent on the 360 and see if it's something you would enjoy. To be honest, I don't know why this was called "FAR CRY 2". There aren't any predators, characters or storyline elements from the first game in this "sequel". Still, the game looks pretty wild. I'm anxious to play it this weekend! Who's with me?

The title pretty much says it all. The Frozin One and myself will be free roaming in Grand Theft Auto IV tonight if anyone would care to join us. We'll try to make the usual start time of 9pm est, but might be a bit later than that.

TF2 This Friday!

Ready to get some Team Fortress action going? This Friday (4/21) we'll be hosting a TF2 night with the Black Majik Crew. For those of you who don't have it, many places have them for around $45 pre-played. So get a copy! With five games on one disc, this game is a must own for any Xbox gamer.

This Friday's Gonna Be Legendary

We all got the new maps, right? This Friday I'll be hosting some custom games, with a heavy dose of the Legendary map pack thrown in. Looking to do some Infection as well with some of the maps from last weekend's "Living Dead" matchmaking playlist.

We'll start at our normal time of 9pm est. and of course guests are welcome. Hope everyone can make it, I'm in the mood to post some new screenshots.

Grifballin' Friday 4/4 @ 9pm

March may be over, but the madness continues! This Friday we're lacing up our Mark VI armor's and hitting the court for a little Grifball! Tip off at our usual start time of 9pm.

FYI, we'll be playing on the original Grifball court, Foundry, which you can now download for free in the Heroic map pack. No excuses this time! If you haven't downloaded the pack yet, hop to it.



Also! During "half-time" if everybody wants to, we'll hop over to High Ground for a quick group photo. As usual, friends of friends are welcome but the photo will be Black Majik members only. Hope to see all you Nancy-boys in the squared circle!

First GI Joe Images

From a post at gamertag.com, a couple of images have been released so far, one of General Hawk and the only one that really matters....Snake Eyes! Ray Park is looking extremely badass here. One can only hope that Storm Shadow will be equally badass and will the the classic version and not the hooded one. Oh, and lets hope he actually works for Cobra too, I always liked him better as a bad guy.

Black Majik Spartan Photo this Friday 3/14 @9pm

For those looking to participate in round two of the Spartan photo, I'll be setting up a room this Friday at 9pm. The map will be decided by vote, so if you're coming out, be sure to vote for your preferred locale, poll closes Thursday at midnight. Also, hit the Events forum and post up your service tag numbers and what weapon/weapons you'd like.

Of course afterwards we can have some fun shooting the hell out of each other. Guests are always welcome, but for the photo let's keep it Black Majik members only. Thanks!

Army of Two releasing Thursday 3/6

It's been a long time coming, but the wait is almost over. EA's Army of Two hits stores this Thursday. Yours truly has been waiting for this game since it premiered in EGM over a year ago. Anybody else planning on picking it up?

Army of Two throws gamers into hot spots ripped from current day headlines where they will utilize unique two-man strategies and tactics while seamlessly transitioning between playing with intelligent Partner AI (PAI) and a live player. When one man is not enough, it will take an army of two to fight through war, political turmoil and a conspiracy so vast it threatens the entire world.

Vegas baby, Vegas Friday 2/22 @ 9pm

We're so money and we don't even know it! Bring yer ropes this Friday, we're playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas. I'll host at the usual start time of 9pm. I will be incorporating some of, if not all the new maps and such. Both downloads are free now though, so if you're planning on playing be sure to grab those.

Let's try to get enough folks to do some adversarial this week. Co-op is fun, but not as much fun as shooting some of you in the bulbous, photo mapped head.

Gears of War 2! Oh hell yeah. I know it's not usually what we post, but this is front page worthy stuff right here. Check out the teaser for Gears 2 above, then be sure to download the free new theme and gamerpics in the marketplace. My God this will be the longest wait between February and November in the history of mankind.

Ghost Recon this Friday 2/15 @ 9pm

The people have spoken, and it looks like we've got a bunch of GRAW fans around here. We're moving back to Friday this week, with the usual start time of 9pm. I'll start out with GRAW since I think more of us have it, but if it's preferred we'll move to GRAW 2.

For those who'd like to play but don't have either one, according to the Gamestop's website, you can get a used copy of GRAW for around $12. The single player alone is worth that, and the multiplayer is great as well. Definitely worth the moneys.

Halio Kart this Saturday 2/9 @ 9pm

Mongooses and hammers and rockets, oh my! Mark your calendars...this Saturday I'm hosting Halio Kart beginning at 9pm!

What's Halio Kart you ask? Well it's just a little variation of Team Slayer that I've concocted for Sandtrap. Players spawn from one of four corners of the map, each with two Mongooses (Mongeese?). Primary weapons are rockets, with gravity hammers as secondaries. Other weapons on the map are limited to two sniper rifles, three spartan lasers, and the map default grenades, trip mines and machine gun turrets. Depending on how that plays, settings can always be adjusted.

If we get tired of Halio Kart, I'm always up for a little Grif Ball as well, and thankfully the guys at Rooster Teeth had been working on a Beach Grifball map (Last Resort) which I've made some mods to myself, so it's ready to go.

This Friday we're playing Call of Duty 4, cuz I'm a soulja...I thought I told ya. If my connection can take it, I'll start hosting around 9pm. I'm hoping we have enough folks to run private room only, but if need be we may have to do some pubs. CoD multiplayer absolutely rocks, so this should be fun.

Time to dust off your Lancers and keep the Longshot's away from Bloodmoney, this Friday it's Gears of War! I'll be hosting beginning around 9pm, and would like to play a heavy dose of the "new" maps that I downloaded and never played. Keep in mind that these are free, and none of you slackers have any excuses about not having them this week. If you haven't, make sure you download them before Friday. Hope to see everyone on again.

Michael Myers in Atlanta!

Got an email from the Atlanta Comic Convention today, which is coming up on Superbowl Sunday, February 3rd. The guest of honor is none other than Tony Moran, who you'll undoubtedly remember as the guy who played Michael Myers in the original 1978 Halloween. Also for being on the email list, myself and up to three other people can get in for an unprecedented $2.00!

Since most of us are from, or live around, the Atlanta area, I was wondering if anyone else would like to go to this? Make it sort of a Black Majik mini-event? We all know the Superbowl's going to suck anyway. Further discussion in the Events forum.
